Managers aged between 45 and 54 report a greater ability to adapt to change than those in any other age group a survey has found, in sharp contrast with the stereotype that older workers are less agile.
A study by our CTWD team in the ARC Centre of Excellence in Population Ageing Research (CEPAR) found that a higher proportion of workers over 55 say they have coped with changes to the way they complete “core tasks” than their colleagues in younger age groups, particularly those aged between 18 and 44.
